Swimming can be an excellent way to burn calories with low resistance. Its hard to beat that, not to mention that swimming works almost every muscle group in your body. I encourage all my readers to give swimming a shot. It is very rewarding.
I workout at a pretty small gym just down the road from my office. They have just a few different pieces of equipment and a couple of TVs. It is a relatively small set up. They started using adjustable dumbbells not to long ago and the change has been great. They got a few different sets which means there is no waiting even during the gyms peak hours. I really like using them because I can do several different exercises with just the one set. Switching the weight on the dumbbells is far easier than I had expected. I originally thought it would be a bunch of complicated pins but with the Bowflex set it could not be easier. You don’t have to take my word on it though. You can read a full review of Bowflex SelectTech 552 Adjustable Dumbbells.
This new change took a little while to get used to but I think it has really improved the small gym that I work out at. From what I can tell people are really enjoying the new adjustable dumbbells and are having very little issues adapting.
Here is a great video from Youtube on eating well to burn fat. I have personally tried a few of these recipes and they really are great!
I personally find that eating healthy can be the hardest part of changing to a new healthy life plan. The goal is to watch what you put in the tank so you don’t have to burn as much in the gym. The problem I face is the unsatisfying feeling of eating a salad or other light meal! I guess i will just have to get use to the satisfaction I get from hopping on the scale and seeing such great results!
Another key is managing your hunger. Grazing is eating small meals throughout the day that are low in calories but high in nutrients. This type of eating is more natural and helps to suppress hunger for longer periods throughout the day. Less hunger leads to less cravings which leads to less calories consumed.
As I make the transition from 2-3 gorging meals every day to 5-6 light meals I am noticing more sustained energy and well being. This eating strategy alongside the workout regiment I have been using has got me feeling better than ever.
Sometimes just thinking of something healthy and tasty can be difficult, especially without a recipe. I find that using some healthy eating boards on pinterest is a great way to come up with tasty meal ideas and most of them come with the recipes attached. I couldn’t be happier!
